On Friday, June 18 Freeway Ricky’s legal team filed a trademark infringement lawsuit in the California U.S. District Court.

Jay-Z, who was responsible for signing Officer Ross to Def Jam in 2006 when he ran the label will be called on to testify in what is sure to be a very interesting trial.

Freeway Ricky is requesting a temporary restraining order and permanent injunction to block the release of Officer Ross’ new record, ‘Teflon Don‘.

He is also seeking half of all money made by the rapper, born William Leonard Roberts II while using his name.

Rick Ross Rocked Fake Louis Vuitton Shades On The XXL Cover

Dear Editor:

We were dismayed to see the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine, which features a photo of Rick Ross wearing a pair of sunglasses prominently featuring counterfeit Louis Vuitton trademarks. Because the photo has generated considerable confusion among your readers and Louis Vuitton customers among others, we feel it is important to clarify several points.

The first is that the sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton, and in fact, are counterfeit. Louis Vuitton did not grant permission to Mr. Ross or to whoever did make the sunglasses to use our trademarks. The second is that no affiliation, sponsorship or association exists between Rick Ross or XXL and Louis Vuitton. The third is that counterfeiting is illegal.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to correct the confusion.

Despite his on-going battle with 50 Cent, Rick Ross’ Deeper Than Rap is reportedly en route to sell around 160,000 albums in its first week.

Miami rapper Rick Ross will top next week’s HITS Album Sales chart, with between 150-160k in sales for his third album, Deeper Than Rap, and first for his new Maybach Music Group through Def Jam after a pair for Slip-N-Slide. His last, the gold-certified Trilla, now over 700k, and his 2006 debut, Port of Miami, both debuted at #1. (Hits Daily Double)

People weren’t clowning you for being a C.O, they were clowning you for blatantly denying it over and over again. If it was just a job you should of admitted it! Not copping this album but i will surejam to it though.
