Former NJ Nets player Jason Williams, who gained international fame for allegedly shoting his driver in the bedroom of his New Jersey mansion after one too may drinks in 2002 is back in police custody.  ESPN reports:

Officers stunned a drunken and agitated Jayson Williams with a Taser at a swank Manhattan hotel Monday morning after reports that the troubled ex-NBA star appeared suicidal, police said. Police were called to the hotel in Battery Park City in lower Manhattan around 4 a.m. after a report that the former New Jersey Nets star was suicidal, authorities said. When officers arrived, there were empty bottles of prescription drugs strewn around the disheveled hotel suite of the 6-foot-10 Williams, police said. Emergency Services Unit police, an elite team trained to deal with emotionally disturbed people, responded and stunned Williams with a Taser, handcuffed him and took him to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

Kobe Bryant’s former maid Maria Jimenez is suing the NBA star over claims that his wife Vanessa was verbally and mentally abusive to her.  Maria claimed Vanessa called her “lazy, slow, dumb, a f—ing liar, and f—ing sh-t” and the final straw was when she forced her to take a price tag for a garment out a bag of dogshit after she mistakenly put the $690 blouse in the family’s dishwasher, in an Orange Country courtroom this week.  Maria says she attempted to quit but was told by Vanessa she had to work until she paid for the blouse, which she did.
