G-Unit Records has entered into an exclusive agreement with EMI Label Services in which EMI will distribute and promote releases on the G-Unit roster in North America. EMI will release the Grammy nominated multi-platinum rapper Lloyd Banks’ third solo album “H.F.M. 2” (Hunger For More 2) on November 23rd, 2010, and Tony Yayo’s as yet untitled sophomore album, which is scheduled for early 2011.

G-Unit, formerly with Interscope Records, is joining a growing number of third party labels and artists to ink deals with EMI Label Services. EMI Label Services’ unique approach gives independent artists and labels creative freedom along with access to the expertise, marketing and promotional muscle of a major label.

According to Lloyd Banks, “It’s refreshing to see the EMI staff excited about my project, they have the passion and energy I haven’t seen in while”.

Per Tony Yayo, “The EMI staff is creative and willing to think outside the box. They are fans of my music and career. I’m looking forward to marketing and promoting my upcoming album with them.”

Sergeant Brad Finucan of the Waterloo Regional Police’s Criminal Investigations branch told MTV News on Sunday (January 10) that Banks (real name: Christopher Lloyd) and three associates got into a dispute with the promoter at a local hotel over payment for performance and an appearance fee. The promoter’s name was withheld by police.

The promoter alleged that early Saturday morning the lyricist and three associates — Nicklas Sloane, Shawn McGee, and Tyrell Cooper — held him in his hotel room against his will, assaulted and robbed him. All four men were charged with forceful confinement, aggravated assault and robbery.

We already knew that Wayne joins Kanye West and T-Pain on Ross’ “Maybach Music 2,” but the Bawse revealed to us that Weezy will also be featured on “Valley of Death.” A snippet of the song was released online recently, and Ross disses 50 Cent on his part. There’s no word yet on what Wayne raps about, but Ross said the New Orleans superstar’s verse was easy to get because of their friendship.

“Me and Wayne, I got a lot of respect and a lot of love, not only for Lil Wayne, but for Cash Money Records,” Ross said. “Those were some of the few dudes that embraced me outside of the music long before the fame and fortune. I always felt it was genuine. Birdman and Slim been coming to Miami for years now. We developed a relationship being in and out of the studios. Anytime I called Wayne for anything — whether it’s an album cut or remix — he was just there for me.

” ‘Valley of Death,’ that concept was just, that’s really what it is — every day I get up and live the life that I live. Do the things I do. Move how I move,” Ross added. “Walking in the valley of death, I feel my life is on the line every day. It’s a 50/50 chance.”

Another person Rick has been working with is 50 nemesis Ja Rule. Rule is on the remix of “Mafia Music,” the record that sparked the G-Unit/ Rick Ross beef. “Ja Rule is on the record,” he said. “Y’all gotta lay around for it.”

Again, he didn’t say what Rule’s verse was about, but you can bet all the gadgets in Batman’s cave that Rule’s words won’t be complimentary toward Fif, Lloyd Banks or Tony Yayo. Ross also said he hopes his and Ja’s collaboration can lead to work on a new Rule album.

“I’m still a fan of Ja Rule,” he said. “Ja Rule, put out your next album. Drop a next single real big. Put me on that. Keep selling records. What’s the problem?”

I’m not taking any sides but it seem’s like Ross is just digging his own grave as of right now. He’s still trying hard to promote his album on behalf of 50 Cent and Keep’s mentioning Dr Dre like he is goning to respond then goe’s on stating him and Eminem is going to do a track together, and how can we forget him seting black people back another 20 years by calling another “Monkey”? Ever since the beef has started i haven’t even heard any tracks with Ross going on in more then 45 secounds on any one in the Unit. Keep in mind that Trilla Sold 190,000 first week therefore if he sell’s any lower then that his carreer is officially over when Dej Jam don’t make all that promotion money back when soundscan get’s released on April 29.

Rick Ross spoke to XXLMag last night (March 23) to discuss his lukewarm sales reception, despite the glowing reviews for his upcoming album, Deeper Than Rap, at a recent listening party.

“I don’t really go by iTunes,” said Ross, dismissing the value of the retailers figures, though it tracks purchases as opposed to just spins. ”They just can’t really judge the streets—you gotta judge a combination.”

Of Banks’ relative success, Ross countered, “Well, I don’t know anyone who buys it,” adding, “My record is a Top 10 record on Billboard” — a reference to “Magnificent” holding down the #9 spot on Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart.

The news of Ross’ struggling sales seemed to compound his problems, coming on the heels of rival 50 Cent releasing the now-infamous sex clip starring the mother of one of Ross’ children. In discussing the video, the Miami rapper hit back, “I don’t think they should release another Lloyd Banks gay tape.”
